No … I’m not smelling burnt toast and i can still feel both arms just fine, no need for a stroke test … All but the last list above are Vacation Bible School destinations in 2026 … The last was a trip of a lifetime we took in 2019 …
So, lend me your ear, pull up a piece of parchment, wipe off the chalk board, clear the white board, and finally open a new tab on our tablet to get this thing started on talkin’ bout how we may have changed the way we teach about Him, but the message stays the same !!!
One of the weirdest (and coolest!) things i noticed when arriving in the Holy Land was just how much the “old and new” had mixed together … We’d see a building that was hundreds of years old selling cell phones and accessories … Our Guide, Leo, was an expert at making sure that we were able to see and experience the Holy sites while still taking advantage of the modern amenities.
One of the great passions that both my father and both grandfathers had passed down to me was a love of history … Thanks to this love I’ve been able to see how embracing technology through the years, while scary at the time, leads to more and more people being able to get to Him …

The Sunday School we teach today is so different than the one i grew up in and i can’t even imagine the one that i hope and pray lil’bit will be teaching one day when he’s my age and telling dad jokes to a new generation of youngen’s that will be rolling their eyes at him !!!
