Raise your hand REALLY high if you just LOOOVE “Monday’s” … (and, i don’t necessarily mean that day of the week, i mean the first day of work for you each week) … Keep them up … real high now … Shucks … We don’t have any way of marking all my “people” 😛 … The ones that may be a few fries short of a Happy Meal as my beloved would say …
Ya see, for most, i guess, Monday’s are full of dread and a countdown to the other end of the workweek … I get it … Heck, it’s the hardest day of reporting in our job and i start at an hour that would make most folks eyes shoot straight to the roof … But, having said that, for me, it’s also the beginning of a new week of hope … A week of picking up things that were put down last week … A week of, well, possibilities …..
Before you get a room with rubber walls ready for me, please let me explain 🙂 … The more times around the sun this ole guy has made it the more I’ve found out one big thing: Hint, I ain’t very good at this adulting and can’t do it solo … The more i ask for help the better i feel.
My wife, Toni, is awesome … The more i let her in, the more connected we get … At church, the more we collaborate on projects, the better they turn out and the stronger the bonds get … At work, the more we share and meet, the better the final products and outcome and the better and stronger the team gets … And as for when I’m frazzled? The more i go to Him in prayer, the better I am … Period …
So now, the toughest day of the week is simply an excuse to lean on those that i trust and love the most. No need to Walk Like an Egyptian (unless it’s for a lunchtime fun-time today!) but we definitely don’t have any Manic Monday blues 🙂 …
