Ya know, when my beloved first asked me to help teach a Sunday school class a couple of decades ago i first thought, sure, i can teach an adult class … Then, she said …. KIDS … I freaked … I’d never taught kids before … And, if you’ve never taught a group of 5 or 6 year olds … Ummm … Try it … Trust me 😀 … Well .. I quickly learned that absolutely NO Bible study in the world had prepared me for the onslaught of questions that had been laid upon me so i had done something i hadn’t done in years … I PRAYED before i studied for class … and i learned MORE from teaching those kids than i’d ever learned from any of my teachers (no disrespect to any of my teachers!) … Now, why am i jawing about this today ??? Well, you see, when we started this “Observational Ministry” one of the things that i was honestly worried about was being able to consistently provide new and fresh devotionals 2 or 3 times per week … Let’s face it … It’s been … Ummm … Decades … Since i’d been in college and had to write what amounted to speeches or papers and now i’m committing to doing it more than i did back then WHILE having a full time job AND a family AND AND AND AND ??? … But, you know what ??? Not only has the Spirit delivered, He has come through SO MUCH more because my relationship with Christ has grown even closer during the past 15 months … Literally turning around is seeing something new and different and in a new light … He has, as usual, over delivered on my burden in this matter simply because He can … I just thought i’d share this today in case any of you are afraid that something may be too scary or difficult or too … Well, i’ll let you fill in that blank and let Him over come it for you 🙂 …

ps.. the pic of Toni and I on stage is at a church talent show years ago … There’s a story behind that one … Let’s just say that the church youth had bet me I wouldn’t do something and, well, we pulled it off and I’m pretty sure it’s a one of a kind performance 😀 ….
