Savior THEN Lord How Bout for You

I’m going to start off today again with a question … remember when your parents asked you to clean your room ??? WHY did you clean it ??? because you really wanted to ??? because it made them happy ??? or because you wanted to stay out of trouble ??? … keep that in mind as you read or listen to the rest of this 🙂 …. how many times and from how many different folks have you heard that “Jesus is my Lord and Savior” ???? for me, the ORDER really matters … He IS both of those things, just NOT in that order … you see … when I was a spry 13 year old I was fortunate enough to be at a tent revival in the heat of a West Virginia summer when a preacher asked if anyone would like to come up to the altar and the next thing I knew, yup, there I was … “saved” … a moment I’ll never forget (but, after reading a bunch in the bible, I learned that I had already been that!) … for the next 13 years I really tried to do the right things, would read my bible, go to church, got baptized, but, to be honest, a lot of what I was doing was because it was what I thought I was SUPPOSED to do and out of fear of not making it to Heaven, so, my “Spiritual Room” stayed kinda messed up quite it bit … but Jesus patiently stood by like all father’s do and waited for me to grow up and mature until I was ready to accept Him as Lord … since then, the next 30 years (and counting!) that’s FIRMLY where He has been placed … using the room analogy, I now try and think first about what would please Him (hint, that’s called praying!) … so, to put it quite simply, Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord … how about you 🙂 … now, if you’ll excuse me, I may have to go clean up our room, we do have cats, you know!
