I’m Feelin Hot Hot Hot

it’s been a minute since I’ve had inspiration to post sumthin’ ‘cause of what I was ‘bout to shove down my pie-hole, but, that ends today 🙂 … you see, as I was boilin’ up an eggselent spread (no yolk!) … ok ok ok … no more dad jokes, well, maybe one more … as I was cookin’ up my breakfast and decidin’ what to top these beauties with my buddy Matthew’s gospel came to mind … now, I’m not much of a salty guy, but, I do heed the word of my Savior and do try to be the salt of the Earth, but, what does that really mean ??? … I have to give a shout out to our Pastor Emeritus, Jeff Sumner, for giving an analogy in a sermon probably 15 years ago that will (a) never forget and (b) use to teach the kids to this day … his sermon was on “Salt Water Taffy” … talking about how once the salt is IN THERE it changes the taffy FOREVER … hmmmm … once Christ is IN US, it CHANGES US FOREVER … from that point forward, there’s no going back … and, no matter what we do, HE is in US … nice, huh 🙂 …. now, back to my eggs … I COULD go with some regular salt, but, let’s face it, I’m not a “sit in the pews and maybe take notes” kinda guy …. how about ketsup … well … I DO go to Sunday school (teach, so, that’d be more like spicy ketsup?) … but, then again, I hand out these tuits and write these things, so, maybe a bit more spicy than ketsup 🙂 … our second reading is from our buddy John and him reminding us that the worst thing we can do once we DO have Christ in our lives is to be “meh” about it … (pretty sure that wasn’t in any of the translations around that time 🙂 … anyhoo, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go shell out some more advice (ha! I knew I had one more in me!!!)

Bible Verses

Matthew 5:13-16 / Revelation 3:14-22
