My Faith Journey in an Eggshell

makin’ my breakfast this mornin’ made me think of my faith journey and now i don’t think i’ll ever look at an egg the same way again 🙂 … let’s see if we line up here and y’all agree … you see, once Christ came into my life it was AWESOME, shiny and new, but, honestly, i was fragile … especially because of the age i was (a teenager!) … it took the loving guidance of teachers, preachers, parents, grandparents, and mentors to harden me up to where the smallest things didn’t make me question things or shake my foundations, kinda like that water boiling up those eggs did today … then, as i transitioned from the “new” or “baby Christian” role with knowledge and growth in my faith i was ready to start breaking out of my comfort zone (or shell!) and start witnessing to others and sharing my faith and trying to find different ways to help in the Great Commission … as my faith and witness grew stronger it was time to start sharing what i knew with others in new and challenging ways by learning from and working with partners to help teach different folks in different walks of life learn about Christ while always making sure to keep in mind that my own faith bucket needs to be continually fed as well … wow … i didn’t think that a few boiled eggs, some mustard, mayo, pickle juice, salt and pepper could turn into a full blown bible study lesson, but, thanks to Him, that’s exactly what can happen when you least expect it 🙂 … now, if you’ll excuse me, i’ve got a date with a sandwich or two!
