ok … i was headed in to get lil’bit some “moo-juice” to go with his breakfast this mornin’ when i saw somethin in the fridge … well, honestly, i see it pretty much every day but today the Spirit pointed it out to me … you know we’ve got 3 different types of milk in our house (well, 2 and a nut juice that’s marketed as a milk!) … now, each of these are good for all of us for different things and, especially for lil’bit, the “fully leaded” moo-juice is GREAT for his growin’ body … we’ve even got a super duper additive that we can put into all three of them that, well let’s just say makes me really popular with some members of the house and less so with others that will drastically change up the taste of the same said moo-juice from above … now, a quick aside and fun fact, my mom told me that when i was born i was allergic to the white stuff … now back in the olden times i guess the formula wasn’t as good as it is now and mom’s head was definitely hard, so, she started giving me a very small amount of milk every day and kept upping the amount until, by the time i was as old as lil’bit is now, i was downin’ the moo-juice like a champ … i’m sure you’re saying “great stories, but, moooo’ve it along” (ha, see what i did there!!!”) … the reason for these stories today was the types of milk got me thinkin’ about the different types of praying that we do each day … there’s fancy words for it and fancy ways to remember them, but, basically, you should pray to tell God he’s worthy (that’s the adoration,) pray for those that need God’s help (that’s intercession,) pray for how thankful you are for all of God’s blessings (that’s thanksgiving,) pray for forgiveness of what you’ve done wrong (confession,) and don’t forget to pray for God to help you with what you need (that’s supplication) … now, i’ve seen “prayer charts” where folks use things like cutouts of their hands to make sure that they get all 5 of them in each time they pray, but, i’m guessing here … you know what i think … i think that the best prayer in the world and the one that God wants to hear the most is the one that’s the MOST HONEST and comes from YOUR HEART !!! … now, that’s not to say that the more you practice thinking about and praying about all 5 of these types of prayers that they won’t pop up in these honest prayers, but, at least that’s my advice to you … personally, i’ve started every prayer to God for years with THANK YOU because no matter what else is going on, i will never be able to say those two words enough to my Lord and Savior … just a thought from a guy that was getting some milk and ended up getting a blessing in return 🙂 …
