ya know, from day one there’s always been 3 of us in our marriage and it’s made all of the difference in the world and from the moment i said “i do” to my beloved, she slotted into “number 2” in my life and i into the same slot in hers and we’ve happily stayed there and been very happily married for almost a quarter century now … woah, wait a minute you may ask … “number 2” ???? … yes … there’s 3 in our marriage and HE is the head of our household, and gladly put there so by both of us … looking in nature, you can see some of the strongest and most stable structures are built on 3 legs because they can withstand greater forces without fail, look at a famous “speed square” (ironic, huh!) used by carpenters … hmmmm … looks a LOT like a triangle to me !!! … and, if you look at the symbol for the “way” from way (ha!, see what i did there!) back when Christianity first started, with one believer making the first ½ of the fish and the second joining the 2nd ½, it joins a 3 point union … Having God at the center of your life and relationships allows you to have the anchor and common ground on which to always come home … when disagreements happen (yup, they will and do!) it gives a starting and “safe” space for them to happen in and a mutual 3rd party. Toni and i have some very different viewpoints on some things and i can just picture our Heavenly Father chuckling and shaking his head looking down on us as we navigate through our daily lives, but, that’s the way it SHOULD BE … no two people are exactly the same, life would be boring … we agree on most of the big stuff and when we do disagree we take our differences first to Him in prayer, and, honestly, if we still need help, that’s when we seek out professional counsel because, spoiler alert, God helps those who help themselves!!!! 😛 … the last picture today is of three (hmmm, a theme, maybe!) different versions of the ten commandments … 2 that came over from the Holy Land, one as a gift from dear friends when we weren’t able to make the trip in 2014 because Toni’s mom was getting ready to pass on, another we purchased on our own trek on 2019, and the other is one of the last Christmas gifts i had purchased for my dear Pappeye before he passed away … have an AWESOME day !!!!
