my favorite grocery store had a “bogo” on one of my favorite hot sauces today so i had to check to see how many bottles we had in back-stock and that’s when the Spirit hit me with this here message … you see, in any given day there’s at least 2 (sometimes 3 or 4, hey, don’t judge!) opportunities that i may have to pull down different spices to liven up my dishes … sometimes it calls for a lighter touch like a pinch of salt or hint of garlic and other times (i’m look at you there chili bowl!) we pull out the big guns like “the Bomb” or my special mix to really add some flavor, and there’s everything in between … but, no matter what goes into it, one thing is definitely the same, once something’s added, it can’t be undone … hmmmmm sounds a LOT like something that happened to me over 4 decades ago out in a small tent revival in West Virginia when He came into my heart … it also reminds me of dozens of interactions and conversations i have each and every day about, well, everything … you see, as a follower of Christ that doesn’t mean that i have to constantly be trying to use every moment of every day to tell everyone to convert that isn’t already, but, it should mean that i spend every moment of every day trying to do as he said and be the “salt of the earth” … make it a better place, so, the way i see it, i need to try and spread love and joy, and, yes, when and where i can, i do spread the Gospel, when and where i can, i do spread peace and love, and sometimes, it’s a simple pinch of salt with a smile because someone may be too busy, but i’ll try and remember to come back when they’re not 😊 … just a thought from a guy that DiD remember to spread some hot sauce on his eggs this mornin, i’ll let you guess which one !!!!
