Heart and Soul in the Clouds

recently a famous fella joined the Church of New Jerusalem … what made this a bit of a kerfluffle for quite a few folks was the fact that for most of his life he didn’t believe in Christ and was vocal about it, but, with what the secular world calling the “big c” staring down at him he decided to rethink his whole philosophy about THE BIG C and very shortly before his moving on very publicly proclaimed Jesus to be his Lord and Savior … now, one of our bible verses today will cover that one but i’d like to take a moment to slide over and talk about something else that’s near and close to our hearts dear friends … our, gulp, data, and how it’s backed up …. you see nowadays there’s several cloud options that we can install on our phones, tablets, and computers so that we can stay automatically backed up in case of a crash with everything headed to the cloud, so, when our phone inevitably hits the pavement or the computer catches the flu or the tablet comes into contact with a toddler and some applesauce it may hurt our wallets but a quick browse through amazon or a trip to the phone store and we’re back in business as if it never happened …. now, if you have timed your cloud purchase JUST RIGHT and knew EXACTLY when that spill/crack/virus was going to happen, then, you may be out only a few bucks, but, on the other hand, the few bucks a year that you pay for the dozen years to have (a) the peace of mind of knowing that you’re covered and (b) your files available anywhere you want them and (c) the ability to share your files with other folks and (d) {ok, i could become a cloud commercial here, but, you get my drift} … THAT’S the extra …. so, now i’m going to go back and tell my 13 year old self that was “grumpy” about the whole “death bed confession” thing when i read about it in the bible and thought of it as a loophole to begin with … you may look at it as a loophole, but, i look at it as 2 things … 1) “welcome to the party, we’re glad you’re here!” and 2) “i’m so very sorry you missed out on so much fun you could have had if you would have gotten here sooner, but, we are still so very glad you made it !!!!” …. anyhoo … that’s about all for me today … oh, one other thing, if you’re wondering what that last picture is, it’s the ark that the og lil’bit and i made for WBTS 15 years ago made … the Mercy Seat sat upon the one that Moses made, so, i figured it was appropriate to put it in here 😊 … have an awesome day !!!!
