i was sittin’ in my favorite seat in the peanut gallery at church today next to my sweetie when i heard sumthin’ i figured i’d share with y’all (after gettin’ permission from Pastor John, of course!) …. You see … he was preachin’ about fear and how our Savior can take it away, a mighty fine sermon if i say so myself, and i recommend you come and attend to hear him, he’s quite good 😊 … but, back to what i was sayin’ … at one point he was mentionin’ about he’d done a search on “fear not” (and similar phrases) in the bible and it came up 365 times … hmmmm .. i wrote that down thinkin’ (a) that’d be a good askapop and (b) i wanted to see what ole’ grok had to say ‘bout that … now, sure ‘nuff, not that i didn’t trust my preacher, but, i did want to see just how these broke down and, wow, very interesting !!!!! while Pastor John’s excellent sermon was about our story of faith, the 365 left me thinking of His story of faith as well … you can NOT tell me it’s a coincidence that “fear not” is in the Bible exactly as many times as there are as many days of the year …. hmmmmm …. now, does this mean that there are no scary things in the world … absolutely not, but, we should FEAR NOT for HE is with us … does this mean that nothing bad will happen to us, again, nope, but, again, we should FEAR NOT for HE is with us … there’s an analogy as old as time (i can’t get away from the calendar in this one, can i!) …. God is the Light … now, let’s think about that … if fear is the dark and He is with us, what does Light do to darkness ??? … just a thought from a goofball that makes notes and, contrary to popular belief, does actually pays attention during big boy church 😊 ….
