now we all know that there’s different kinds of love here, but, they ALL have one thing in common … that 4 letter word … no, not that one, the other one … CARE … i don’t know about you, but, it’s awful hard to LOVE someone if you don’t CARE about them … now, granted, i love my wife totally differently than i love my son and daughter in law, which is totally differently than i love my friends but, what isn’t different is the way i CARE about them … i CARE about their day and CARE about their feelings … that leads to relationships, again, different, but, in a lot of ways, the same … so, when feelings get bent (and they will, ‘cause there was only one perfect person and He walked the planet a couple thousand years ago!) we get upset and, yes, maybe even angry … why, because we DO care, we DO love … yesterday in Sunday School we were talkin’ with the kids about honoring mom and dad and one of the questions was “is it ok to argue with them” ??? this brought up some pretty good discussion, and, without going into anything that was said in the class, i will bring up today’s Bible Verse, Job 23, where Job wanted to argue with his Heavenly Father … and, you know what, God welcomes that … a LOT more than the alternative …. because think for a second … He gives us free will, and, if we’re upset, we’re angry, maybe even with Him, and we want to talk it out or, dare i say, even shout it out, what would be the alternative ???? turning your back on Him … now, i will never, and i mean NEVER think for a second that i can speak for God, but, we DO call him our Heavenly Father, and, as an earthly father, the one thing that you want your children to know is that no MATTER WHAT, you are there for them and you LOVE and CARE for them and you’re ready to talk, listen, and, yes, even argue with them … if that’s the case as an earthly father, i can only imagine that my Heavenly Father is infinitely better at doing the same …. just a thought from a guy that’s so blessed to have friends and family that has his back on earth and a Heavenly Father that does even more so in Heaven 😊 ….
