while pondering over breakfast choices this morning the Spirit hit me with an EGGselent analogy that i thought i’d share … no yolk !!! … you see … in the fridge i’ve got almost 2 dozen of “DeeDee’s cousins” (yes, we joke with our bird, funny / not funny!) and the opportunities are really endless … hard boiled, over easy, scrambled, deviled, well, you get the picture … and, each day we can CHOOSE what we want, but, once we have a taste for something, typically, we don’t stray from it … my beloved loves her over hard eggs, but, me, i’m an over easy guy … but having said that there’s some situations that call for hard boiled and who doesn’t crave an omelet every now and then ??? … instead of thinking about our bellies and cravings, let’s think about our different (yes, i know that most folks have more than one!) gifts we have and how we can use them to help out God’s community 😊 … sometimes we are in the education wing sharing the gospel, whether it’s in a formal class or talking with a friend then later on we’re in the outreach division asking someone to join in on a worship service (or handing out a tuit 😊) , and you may round out your day in the care ministry while praying for a sick friend … wow … three divisions in one day, and you thought your preacher had a tough job !!!! kidding, of course, but, really, a lot of folks get assigned a “job” at church and think ‘ok, this is my lane’ and feel that they can’t stray, but, going back to our egg analogy, that’s kinda like saying that you have to stick with scrambled eggs for the rest of your life … maybe you want to have an over easy egg every now and again ???!!! … this is just a thought from a guy like likes his over easy eggs while having an egg salad sandwich !!!!

How many ‘divisions’ do you serve in the “Lords” service (in church or out) ??? have you thought about trying to add one that’s outside of your comfort zone ???
