now ya’ll have either gotten one of our tuit’s or at least seen these things (they’re on the site and at the beginning of every video, afterall!) but, not sure if you know the backstory … you see, my Pappeye used to keep them in his pocket and pass them out to folks along with a smile and a handshake and an offer to join him at either church or the men’s fellowship breakfast … the “round tuit” was (and is) a tongue in cheek way to get folks away from the excuse of saying they’ll do something when they get “around to it” cause, well, you just gave them one !!! 😊 … well a few decades on when i decided to pick up his mantle i ran into something that i wasn’t expecting (but He had prepared me for, as He always does!) … you see, one of the first tuit’s i passed out was to someone who immediately shared with me a bad experience about church … well, i would never break their trust and wouldn’t turn this into a long sermon, but, long story short, that’s where the askapop connection ministry took a turn and we decided to also make it a safe space for people that may not be ready for nor ever want to step back into a church but may still want to read about positive messages and His work in the world and make a connection with Him … Pappeye’s family motto of “it’s not what we gain but what we give that measures the worth of the life we life” has been passed down through my mom to me and on through my family and in every tuit we pray about and pass on … if we haven’t been able to get you a tuit yet and you’d like one for yourself or a few to pass on, please let us know and we’ll get you some … if you’re close to our church we always have some in the narthex … if you’d like to start up a “round tuit” program in your area, please feel free to reach out to me and i’ll get you the jpg files and let you know the materials you’d need to start up your own program 😊 …
ps … check out the new design we’re gonna be rockin’ with the new tuit’s that’ll be rollin’ out !!!!
