What’s Your Favorite Color

what’s your favorite color ??? a simple question and one that, without hesitation, most folks could answer … for as long as i can remember, mine’s been blue …. i don’t know why, but, it has been … it doesn’t mean i don’t like other colors, and, it doesn’t mean that i particularly “look good” in it (matter of fact, most shirts i wear are a tone of red?) but, i digress … why am i rambling ??? this seems important to folks … it’s because color permeates things … it makes things … well (mostly) permanent … my beloved wanted a red door to welcome folks into our home, so, one year for her birthday we got her a white one … not because i didn’t love her, but, because i knew and loved her enough to know that SHE needed to pick out the RiGHT color of red … now on to the ssa and i promise this will make sense (at least as much as any of my ssa’s do, anyway!) … you see, when God sent his Son to save us and show us the Way, you can look at is as bringing color to our world … ALL of the colors … He brought life … the reading today is bringing the true vine … i kinda picture it as the vein of paint coming into the brush or sprayer … Jesus brings light, color, and meaning into everything for those who let Him … our lesson this week was going to be with “sun catchers” but, because of a “meant to be” mistake, the sun catchers were not the right type so at the last moment we were led by the Spirit to pick out a coloring book page and do a “before and after” of that page for the same lesson … one of the results is attached to this and, as always, it’s 1000% better than anything than was originally planned because it was truly Spirit led and Spirit driven … i’ll close with two quick observations … each time you see a flower and it’s beauty, please think of the lesson in Jonah … the same loving God that takes the time and Grace to love YOU is also taking care of the entire WORLD at the same time !!! … next … when you see a rainbow … please remember the story of Noah and the promise God made (that reading isn’t here today since i tend to leave the readings to 1 or 2, but, if you don’t know the story of Noah, let me know and i’ll help you out 😊 ) … anyway … back to chasing the blues (see what i did there!) away and on to my colorful (ha!) life … God Bless Ya !!!
