ok … here’s one that goes straight to the heart of my belief system … seeing isn’t believing, but, believing IS seeing … ‘cause, once you have Jesus in your heart, you can’t HELP but see Him in everything and everywhere, but, if you don’t have Him in your heart, there’s a thousand things that can be given away as coincidences … now … i want to share with you that i’ve got a buddy of mine that was recently in the hospital and was staring down some pretty scary stuff … he’s not out of the woods, but, God continues to answer his prayers as far as good test results and he was able to get news one night that, depending on the news the following morning, he may be able to be released if he promised to follow up immediately with his doctors once home … he prayed thanks to God and half jokingly during his prayer mentioned that the food in the hospital had been good, but, if God could make his last meal there lasagna, he would appreciate it … fast forward 8 or 10 hours and right after the specialist left his room letting him know that he WOULD be able to be released the nutritionist came in with the lunch options for the day and guess what was the first option on the list … well, i bet you don’t even have to guess … now, why am i sharing my infirmed buddy’s culinary choices as an ssa ??? good thing you ask, i’ll tell ya … you see, God LOVES hearing from us … ALWAYS … to laugh, to cry, to complain, to … well, let Him know what we want for lunch … i’m not saying he’ll be door dashing to you everytime, but, you never know … and, most importantly, if you never ask, you’ll never know !!! the power of prayer isn’t just a “wish and receive” … it’s communicating with our creator … listening as much as talking … hmmmmmmmmm i guess that’s the only way we’ll ever hear that still small voice … just a thought from a very grateful friend who’s prayers are being answered because his buddy is home tonight instead of still having good tasting hospital food …
