Back in My Day

i absolutely LOVE how the Spirit works 😊 … more on that later 😊 … you see, i was finishing in our … ummmm … let’s say “library” today when i happened to see a youtube card (i didn’t have time to click on it, lil’bit was informing me my reading time was done) of “half-pint” from “Little House on the Prairie” and what was i’m sure a very gossipy thing i would have absolutely loved to have watched, but, i digress … anyhoo, as i was walkin back to lil’bit the Spirit hit me with this ssa … you see …. “Back in My Day” the entertainment was ……. well … you could fill in the blanks here from a crusty ole dude and you’ve heard it a hundred times before, but, let’s think for a second, was it REALLY … because, when i WAS younger, what we really craved was things from the generation BEFORE ours, just like today they’re listen’ to things and watchin’ things that we did “back in MY day” …. so, i guess you could say that “back in my DADS day is when things were REALLY good ???” … and it goes back … but how’s this an ssa ??? stick with me here … you see, the way i see it, before Christ came, and afterwards sent His Spirt, really, the best we could hope for was to “stand pat” and do as good as our dads did before us … that’s why there were so many rules and traditions … they’re important and were really necessary to follow, but, with the Spirit’s guidance, each generation now has the opportunity to learn and grow not only from one another but, with the help and guidance of the most loving advocate in the world, His Spirit !!! i know that my goal in this world is not to make it perfect, but, to try and make it just a little bit better for “big lil’bit” and “lil’bit” than what Pappeye, Papa, and dad left it for me, and, with God’s loving guidance, that’s what i live each day trying to do … not be perfect, but, be better … just a thought from a guy with a not so little house in a subdivision, pa out ….

Bible Verses
