we’re fixin’ to head out on vacation later on this week and durin’ our church service yesterday somethin’ struck me that i wanted to share with y’all … ya know, everytime i’ve said the Lord’s Prayer for the past 15 years or so i’ve placed emphasis on THIS day … this started back when we were teaching a series of lessons (Mary Ann, keep me honest, but, i think it was 5 or 6?) on the Prayer to the kids and one of the weeks was focused on how much God needed to teach them, thru Moses, to trust Him, not their fool selves (maybe i added and embellished, sorry Mary Ann 😊 ) … but, here’s a secret for all of y’all that don’t teach Sunday School … we end up learning as much from studying and preparing for the lessons (usually MORE!) than our students …. that lesson has stuck with me and impacted my life in so many ways … it has taught me that, while looking forward to vacations are awesome and I’m sure we’ll have a super duper extra ordinary great time, thanks to my Living God being a part of my every day life, He leads me to still waters every day and i try (not always succeeding, but i try!) to focus on appreciating on the view i love the most … my front porch lookin’ in (yup, Lonestar said that one best 😊) …

Questions
Do you find yourself looking either forward or backward and getting lost without enjoying the “here and now” … If so, do you think if you stopped to realize that, like manna, God will provide, may help you enjoy more of the moments each day ???
