ok ok ok … here he goes again … in wally world and tryin’ to tie his soul back to his belly (would you call that soul food) 😀 … ya see, while perusing the chip aisle at wally world i realized something … there’s a LOT of choices … both in brands, types, flavors, and don’t get me started on sizes and that got me thinkin about Bibles (yeah, i know, pray for Toni, my mind is a weird place!) …. think of how many translations we have out there, and then we’ve got print, digital, study, well, you get the picture … but, you know what, for every pot there’s a top … and i’ve had lots of folks ask me over the years “what’s the best Bible” and, without a second’s hesitation I can answer unequivocally each and every time … it’s the one that you read … now, are there some that are better than others, absolutely, and, I’ll leave that up to the scholars, but, the litmus test i use is i look at Genesis 1:1-3 and make sure that God still creates the universe and it doesn’t fool around with any psychobabble about it, and then i turn to John 3:16 and make sure that Jesus, the Son of God, came here to save all of us … as long as that’s still the case, whatever Bible it is, then, it can’t be too far off center … then, once someone starts to really read into it, it’ll open the conversation with God and let Him bring them to the Him because i truly feel Christ will come down any road to get to us if we’re making an effort to get to Him !!!! today’s Bible verses are actually the SAME verse, just different translations … have an AWESOME day !!!
