gettin’ out of the shower today made me think of somethin’ … don’t worry, we’re keepin’ this rated “g” … you see, the cat’s went scurryin’ when they thought there may be water flyin and i started to say out loud that “pappeye wouldn’t do that” when i realized that, nope, i’m “dad” to them, and that then led me to this here ssa (welcome to my crazy mind, and you can leave a prayer for Toni anytime you wish :-P!) … you see, we got lot’s of titles, heck the first few we get happen before we take our first breath … “baby” and then usually something like “peanut” or “bean” or something to that analogy will pop up as ultrasound pics start happening, but, then comes the all important first title … the name … now, mine had significance ‘cause i’m the 4th … but, then Craig’s did cause his two middle names were for my dad’s best friend and for my other grandfather, so, i’m thinking MOST names are important … anyhoo, this could go on and on and this is an ssa and not a sermon … though the years we pick up different titles … son, daughter, brother, sister, class clown, seamonster (well, that may have just been mine because of the name Cecil (iykyk)) … and, then we start work and get “professional titles” and these start to mean more to people than anything else … “doctor” … “architect” … “lawyer” … and, if we’re lucky, we start families and those come with titles too … husband, wife, mom, dad, grandpa, grandma … you see where I’m headed … but, with all of these titles, it’s up to US to determine which ones we wear most proudly and in public the loudest … at the end of the day, do i want my friends and family to say “he was the best Professional Architect I ever knew” or, would that even be on the list ??? (not that i’m not proud of that title, but, there’s SO many more titles that I hope and pray that people see me for BEFORE that one each and every day of my life) … hoping this makes sense from the dohhhh of askapop (I just made that up :-p)
