if you’re reading or watching this the day it’s posted, it’s the day before my “little big bro” would have turned 53 … i say that, because he never got to see 17 due to a fluke “one in a million” accident where the seatbelt actually doing it’s job helped to do him in … that took some time to get over, but, what i never got over was the hole that was left from my best friend missing … they say time “heals all wounds” but, it really doesn’t, they just scar over and, if they’re picked enough, those scars still hurt, but, with the love of God, family, and time, those scars DO fade, but never go away … now, how’s this an ssa ??? well, glad, you asked, you see, one thing that WE have going for us as brothers and sisters in faith is that, because of what He did for us, what happens here isn’t the end, it’s just for now … so, that day i told Craig “see ya later” as he got on the plane to head back after Thanksgiving break, i wasn’t lying … for him, it turned out to be a few hours on a plane, a nap, some bowling, and then we’re back together … for me, well, my story’s not written yet, but, i KNOW that we will be together once again … did/does that make everything “OK” when it happened, absolutely not, it took counseling with a very patient Dr. Wheeler, and years of growing in faith to be where i am today, but, for anyone out there that’s hurting and mourning out there, i hope this finds you and maybe helps you a little, and, if you need, i’m here for ya….
