Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

wow … just as I was sitting down to write this lil’bit woke up and had me turn into his short order breakfast chef and it actually had me change this up, just a bit … you see, today we’re getting ready to go vote at our chuch on a new pastor which can be new, exciting, different …  change … especially when the pastor before was (and is) extremely beloved … the reason i’m writing this isn’t specifically about our church vote, but, about human nature and about how much time we tend to spend in the “past” and “future” and how very little time we actually spend in the “moment” … looking back over my life, there’s a thousand, no, ten thousand, no, heck, i can’t count, just how many times i laughed, cried, did something in the middle that was “lost in the moment” and never recorded either on film or in my memory banks, but, you know what, that’s the way it should be … the “big events,” like today, should absolutely be … and, remembering back to my mom telling me that apple (or lemon) butter on warm biscuits works on teething toddlers is experience we need to have, but, experiencing life, the strikes and the balls, the hits, the homeruns, and, yes, the strikeouts, are what makes us who we are, and, that’s found in the NOW, not yesterday, and not tomorrow … just a thought from a guy that’s gonna be late (see what I did there) 😉 …
