if you’re reading / listening to this when it’s posted, it’s “Earth Day” … but, really, shouldn’t EVERY day be Earth Day ??? (kinda like every day being God’s day ???) … i mean, the reason behind it, if i’m not mistaken, is to remind us to take care of the planet, so, shouldn’t that be something we do every day ?? anyhoo, i’m getting off topic (i’ve been told i don’t only have ADD, i’m a carrier :-P) … the reason for today’s post is Earth Day reminded me of one of my two “go to” verses that i’ll tell folks of when asked about my faith … Genesis 1:1 (the other, by the way, is John 3:16) … you see, my God is so powerful that He spoke the entire universe into existence but yet so loving that He sent His only Son to die just for me …. think about that … and, as any brother or sister in Christ, you can say the same thing … there’s a LOT more to my faith journey, but, to me, it kinda starts and finishes there … as for the earth, after being lucky enough to travel around quite a bit of it over the past half century, i’ve seen a LOT of things, but, honestly, the three “f’s” are the best 😊 … “faith, family, and friends” … or, to quote a Lonestar song from a few years ago … “The view I love the most is my front porch lookin’ in” 😊 …
