i don’t think i could describe Easter better than Rev. Jeff .. (i’m paraphrasing, it’d been years ago when he’d mentioned it in a sermon) but, he said that it was literally THE foundation of Christianity … yup … like i said, couldn’t have said it better … God loves us so much that He is willing to send His son to here to first show us the Way and then be the ultimate sacrifice that we all may find our way to Him through the Son … kinda gets you right HERE when you put it that way … the sacrifice is hard and heartbreaking and we need to suffer through that on Maundy Thursday to be able to celebrate the Joy of Easter, which brings me to today’s ssa … to celebrate Easter, many Christian’s of different denominations will greet each other by simply stating “He is Risen” and the other stating, matter of factly “He is Risen Indeed” .. i love this about Christianity … doesn’t matter whether or not you’re catholic, baptist, presbyterian, or, well, you get the picture, we all know that He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed !!! (although, it seems that only presbyterian’s seem to know how to spell presbyterian :-P) … once He arose, he left us his Way forward (along with the Holy Spirit!), a path to follow, and, for over 2 millennia, we’ve been doing that, spreading His word to all ends of the earth …. I guess you could say the first and best Easter present that keeps giving more and more each year !!!! now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to go make resurrection eggs and teach my grandson how to sing “Up from the Ground He Arose” as off key as possible … have a Blessed and Happy Easter everyone !!!!
