meet “one eye’d willie” … by the time of this pic, the second eye had already opened up, but, when he found our family, we figured he’d been discarded by his colony because of his bad eye and ended up in our garage … i’d pulled out my saw one day and saw him (see what i did there!) and, after leaving the garage door open for a good 24 hours to see if he’d go home, realized he wanted to stay so we started feeding him and then, when he trusted us, took him to the vet, got him shots, and introduced him to our colony … but, the vet warned us that since we (a) had new kittens with a momma and (b) had a tomcat already that there was “no way” that this would work, but, you know what, he and izzy (our other tomcat) are best buds and since the kittens and willie are about the same age, they’re thick as thieves … we couldn’t imagine life without him because we were lucky enough to see what could be and not what was there (see, glad you stuck with me long enough for me to get to my point!) …. you know God is really good at that !!! there’s a LOT of examples in the Bible where He was able to see things that the folks weren’t able to (the Bible readings with Elizabeth and Jeremiah are two of my favorites) and it always reminds me to stop when the word “no” is about to come out of my mouth or negative thoughts are headed to my brain about someone or something … hmmm … i wonder what God’s plan is for (fill in the blank here) …. you know, i’ll never know, but, through prayer, He usually gives me a nudge in a direction one way or another … just ask willie 😊 …. oh, and if you’re wondering why we call him willie, one of toni’s favorite movies is the goonies, and if ya know, ya know 😀 ….
