gonna start off with a bit of a biblical history lesson … the early Christians were sometimes called “the Way” … (this’ll make sense in a minute, well, as much sense as any of my ramblings do!) … how many times do we have choices to make … and i’m not talking about what to eat for dinner or what movie to see this weekend, but, HARD choices, like, should I ask her/him, or are we ready to start trying, or in some cases, they’re even thrust upon us … in Feb of 2024 i was flat on my back in an ICU where they honestly expected me to come out of the room with a toe tag on and, if i didn’t, was looking at several surgeries and very “creative care” to figure out how to get some organs to quit talking to one another and deal with a tumor that had grown to the size of a nurf football on my pelvis … i had a choice … to take in all of the doom and gloom and let it consume me OR to not let it get in the WAY of my faith (see what i did there!) and simply ask God “welp, what now … what’s the plan” … He put on my heart to revive the round tuits that my pappeye had given out when he was around and, then later on, to start up the askapop website …. so, instead of focusing all of my time and energy on all that could go wrong, i focused just enough time and energy on the necessary things to do to make sure everything went RIGHT while keeping my eye on the path that God laid out for me … i’m not saying it’s easy and I’d be lying if i didn’t say there were moments of feeling sorry for myself, but, there’s a REASON they called it the Way back then and i truly believe that we should look to that Way today as well … just a thought from a guy that beat the odds simply because He allowed it 😊 ….
