Large or Small … He Always Has the Right Key

Our pastor has a really cool thing he does with the kids. There’s this “mystery box” that gets sent home with a kid each week, and that child gets to select something special and put it into the mystery box. Pastor John then builds his Children’s message, on the fly, based on whatever’s in the box.

Lil’Bit had the box this past weekend and had picked a keyboard. Little (ha! see what I did there!). Did we know that our Choir Director, Norton, was gonna make an announcement about wanting new members of the choir that week? So a musical interlude felt, well… appropriate.

Almost like it was meant to be.

Some folks call things like that coincidence. But like our ministry at AskAPop mentions… “seeing isn’t believing… believing is SEEING.”

Just like the difference in the keyboards. Whether it’s Lil’Bit’s starter, the grand piano in our sanctuary, or the beautiful pipe organ that Kendra can make sing so beautifully… they all may have their place, but He can find uses for ALL of them — just as He finds uses for all of us.

Jeremiah was scared when God picked him out of everyone else, but God assured him that He did so because He knew him before he was even born.

Size didn’t, and doesn’t, matter. Not when He’s involved.

Just a thought from a guy who’s got a HUGE soft spot for his Lil’Bit.
