Keys…. Man, back in the 80’s and 90’s my pants pockets literally got holes in them from ’em! It seemed like everything we had required a key, and no one key fit anything else. Then you go to a hotel… yup, a key. A job… a key. A key, a key, a… you get the picture.
Now it’s passwords or passkeys… 70 characters, non-repeating, at least half in Klingon with two drops of Yoda’s blood before it’ll be accepted… and oh, it’s only good for 30 seconds before the multi-factor authentication texts you an 18-digit pin code that needs to be put in within 12 nanoseconds. Whew… I can now securely pay my water bill!!!!
Of course I’m kidding… well, maybe… K’Pla! But boy, we sure do spend a lot of time making sure everyone can stay out of our business. And as an IT professional, it’s absolutely wise to do so.
But want me to let you in on a little secret?
The most powerful, all-knowing Creator of the universe respects a simple three-letter password that we all know (well, different languages may have more or less letters!)… YES.
And in His case, instead of taking… He will give… SO MUCH!!!!
You see, God so loves all of us that He sent His only Son to take the sin away from each and every one of us. He also loves and respects each and every one of us enough to allow us to choose… choose Him… or not. It’s called free will.
That gift makes this so much… well… just more… than anything else in the world. 🙂
Just a thought from a guy who truly sees Him everywhere now that He is in my heart after I said “yes”.
