2+3=5 … Easy Peasy Lemon Squeazy … It’s why I love math … No matter how you look at it, it always comes up the same … Even if 3 doesn’t like 2 that day … Or if 2 is feelin’ grumpy or if 5 was late for work … They all know their place … That’s that and everyone’s cool with it …

But …. Pappeye introduced me to somethin in life where the math don’t math …
“It’s not what we gain but what we give that measures the worth of the life we live” … It’s our family motto … It took me until i was this many years old to realize that … In a nutshell … It’s simply another form of GRACE …

I’m thinkin, once we introduce Grace into the equation, it’s amazing … I can only imagine (hey, that’d be a good title for a song :-P) what it’d be like on a bigger scale because just in my smaller orbit, getting to share a plate of food with my grandson before he was old enough to have his own … Or when i’m feeling a little down and need a pick-me-up, raising my eyes to God and asking “Here I Am, Send Me” only to find someone on a corner, or in a store, or a parking lot, or on the other end of a phone that needs a dollar, a hug, a scripture, or a word of encouragement …
Christ led through perfect example to lead not by showing who’s the loudest and richest but by loving God and one another …

I may never be able to feed 5000 with 2 loaves and 5 fish, but, i do know with His love and Grace, what i have will always be enough …

Just a thought from a grateful grandson who always tries to do both his Pappeye and his Savior proud …
