Ya dig the hat? C’mon… admit it. You know you do. 😊

I’ve had folks ask why i wear these things … And, yes, i do know that they aren’t quite the height of fashion .. Especially with the rest of my wardrobe. But hey, as i’ve been told … Cecil is … Um … Cecil … So, eat your heart out Vogue, i’m strikin’ a pose! 😊

As for the hat … Way back in the late 2000’s my son got me my first fedora for father’s day. He was so proud to have picked it out himself … I started wearing it instead of my beloved baseball caps ‘cause HE picked it out … Since then he’s picked out other hats for me, i’ve worn them too, even took one of them all the way to the Holy Land … But, the fedora’s … Well, they’ve become my thing …
I know that the commandments say that we should honor or parents .. Don’t get me wrong … That’s a biggie … And, i firmly AGREE that’s a big one … But Christ also reminded us when asked that the greatest commandments were … Love God with all your heart, mind and soul … And love our neighbors like ourselves …

Hmmm … Me thinks that also means we should be honoring the people we love as well, too … Huh 🙂 …
Me wearing these hats is my … Pardon the pun, “Tip of the hat” to my beloved son each and every time i do one of these things … Letting him know that he’s part of me and part of the videos i’m doing …

Just a thought from a very grateful dad that took a one time gift and has turned it into a lifetime tradition (now why am i wanting to watch Fiddler on the Roof and start singing all of a sudden!)
