The Ultimate Healer

Startin’ off today with an observation (ha! Real keen for an observational ministry, huh!) … You see, in our house, over the past month, all of us have been sick, are sick, will be sick, getting sick, well, you get the picture … Where as “Winter Colds” are a thing in the north, it seems that “summer colds” are the way of the south, ‘cause as the temperatures rise the AC blasts so we go from hot to cold to a walking add for pharmaceutical companies…

I’m not sayin’ all of this as a complaint, just as an observation … ‘cause it’s interesting to watch how different folks handle colds … Especially the youngest … It’s really his first time around with being aware of the goo coming out of places there shouldn’t be goo and not quite knowing how to handle it, and how WE deal with it … It’s breaking our heart and all we want to do is FIX it … Having said that, getting him the right care and showing him love, giving him chicken soup and showing compassion during a small “owwie” now will also build a little character and “muscles” as we let him know we’re there for him when he needs us …

Maybe, just maybe, that’s why our Ultimate Healer, who can speak the universe into existence, can, did, and does, choose to walk up to some and say “Pick up your mat” while choosing to walk with others with a thorn in their side … He has SO MUCH MORE knowledge of what we will need and loves us SO MUCH MORE than allowing us to fix every problem today … Personally, i think that’s what Paul was trying to relay to us in his letter to the Corinthians.

Just a thought from a guy that’s sneezing and wheezing and….. (they’re not paying me so i’m not gonna finish it :-P)
