Rollin and Roarin Back Thanks to Him

Have you ever been doin’ somethin you really like to to do and then you can’t do it anymore ??? Yup … Been there … Done that … I’ve had the rug pulled out from me a few times in my life and it ain’t ever fun, but, ya know one that really stung that caught me off guard was when i got sick a couple years ago … Before then i was bikin’ 15 to 20 miles a day … Yes, it was GREAT for this ole coot’s cardio and all that health stuff, but, i didn’t realize just how much it played a part in blowing off steam and the “mental break”  that we all need to keep moving forward … Getting out on the road and just riding and listening to books, the bible, or music while cruising just … Well, as they say know if ya know ya know  … But, then wham … Hospital, icu, tumor, surgeries, and they made me promise until i had the same amount of holes in me that the good Lord had originally had put there and everything healed up nicely, that me and mr bike were on a break as Ross would say 🙂  … Well … There’s no way that i would put my trails anywhere NEAR what poor Daniel went thru, but, i did have to spend a full season looking out at my little giant out there, and, then once i did get back on i found out something else, the time away (as well as the time being sick) had taken quite a bit of the strength and stamina that i’d had all my life away … It’s been a long and slow path forward to start getting back to close to where i was before, but, as i just finished a 7 1/2 mile ride today without coming back in looking like i needed to call that hospital to see if they had any open beds, i know i’m on the right track for one reason and one reason only, because He willed it … And i’ll be forever grateful !!!!

Questions

Do you have anything that you do that helps you relieve stress or blow off steam like the bike does for me ??? How about anything that you’re not able to do anymore that you used to be able to … (if so, i’m so sorry!)
