Never Underestimate The Power Of YOUR Force … with His Guidance

I usually don’t mention the day i’m writing or posting these things simply because, well, if you’re like me, you don’t read things on a schedule (hey, you do you, boo!) and i don’t want to make you feel like you’re reading / listening to “old news” … And, even now, you’re not, it’s just that today, the “topic” happens to fall in line with “May the Fourth” … It reminded me of an old memory … A GREAT one … And no … It wasn’t about Luke finding out who his father was (i won’t spoil it for you!) … But, it DID have to do with THAT movie … You see, when the first one came out, we were “too young” to go stand in the crazy lines (well, my 4 year old brother was, anyway) so, we waited MONTHS until it made its way to our little town about 30 miles outside of the big city so we could see the movie, but, by the time the Empire could Strike Back, my little bro was now old enough to make it through the line so my dad and a buddy of his took a WHOLE DAY and took four kids 9 and under (i was the oldest!) to stand in line for hours in downtown Charleston to go see a movie … The move was good, but the fact our dads did this was … AWESOME … Now, as a dad/pappeye myself, one of the biggest kicks i get each week is taking “lil’bit” to the store …. watching him grow up bit by bit just like i was lucky enough to see his dad … Last summer he got his first light saber … He still chases the cats with it 🙂 … Whether you’ve been blessed with kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews, or friends that have kids, God has given us the privilege, responsibility, and honor to help show the real force in the world … (hint, it’s a four letter word and i’ll spot you the L V and E) oh, did i mention there’s one of those O’s in there too !!!! Red 5, over and out …
