Choices … Some Separate and Some Bring Us Together … You Choose

Do y’all remember the good ole’ days when we could complain about a single bill for cable (for you young folks, that’s like streaming for old people) and only have to complain about not finding things to watch on ONE service 😀 … Heck, i remember when we had 3 channels (4 if you count the fuzzy one that i had to keep whackin’ the side of the tv to get it to sort of work) and we STILL didn’t have anything to watch … Ok ok ok … Old man rant over … And, you’re probably wonderin’ (a) where’s my remote and (b) what does a picture of Roku and a picture of the “Song of Zechariah” in a different language doing in the same post, do we need to have Toni check on Cec for a stroke? … Well, the answer to (a) is probably in your seat cushion (that’s where ours is) and the answer to (b) is comin’ up, and, no, i don’t smell burnt toast … You see, choices matter, some more than others (heck, TV less and less!) but, some, like ultimately, WHO we ultimately end up with, do … Now, there’s a lot of different denominations and churches out there and, like our buddy Paul is saying in his little tiff with the Corinthians, be careful about splitting hairs or pointing out the little things, ‘cause it’s the BIG things that really matter … Now, does that mean that ALL churches are perfect and great, nope, but, at the same time that doesn’t mean that all PEOPLE that go to certain churches are BAD either, or that YOU get to decide what churches are good and bad … The beauty of Christianity is that WE have a PERSONAL relationship with Christ, so, we should exercise that freely and regularly to make sure that where and how we worship makes Him happy … What works for YOU may not be the best way for someone else to make their way to Christ, and, that’s OK … One of the biggest eye opening experiences i had in my life was visiting the Holy Land … First, as a Presbyterian group (i only bring this up because we are, by definition, Protestant, were guided for 2 weeks by one of the most Spiritual men I’ve ever met, a Catholic man, who is just as faithful and loves Christ and has just as much of a relationship with Him as I … And, during our trip, we visited the tomb of Samuel where there were 3 churches, a mosque, synagogue, and a church … They all were active and guess what … They all got along … Of all of the powerful moments i had on the trip, when asked to give testimony about the trip a few weeks after we got home … THATS what i wrote about … Just sayin …

Questions

How do you feel about the different denominations ??? (no judgements, just reflections here) … Do you have friends from different denominations, if so, do you share the differences and embrace them?
