In the Garden Never Alone

i’m gonna share somethin’ with ya … my Pappeye’s favorite song was somethin’ he used to hum and sing all the time … so much so that it became my mom’s favorite song and, in turn mine … now, it’s not something that plays on the radio nor something that would be shouted at as such, but, a soothing song that, everytime i need to settle, i start humming or singing it and it centers me as if not only mom and pappeye are there with me, but, He is with me too … it’s called In the Garden (here’s a version Sung by Alan Jackson with Lyrics) … i’ve linked it here (you’re welcome for me not sharing my rendition) … a quick note, the first time lil’bit experienced a “night terror” he was inconsolable … that was until his pappeye (yours truly) starting singing the same ole song that had settled me for years and the next thing you know the tears had left my little buddy and been replaced with quiet breathing …. now, you’re probably saying “thanks for the spotify tip cec, but, how’s this an askapop ????” … good question … glad you asked 🙂 … you see, i’m writing this today when Our Savior happened to be In a Garden of his own, knowing what was going to happen and knowing that the weight of the world was bearing down upon Him … He prayed, knowing that He was not alone and, thanks to His sacrifice we are never alone … that Horrible Day is called Good Friday for one reason … because He Made It So … and He Walks With Me and He …. well … i’ll let you fill in the rest 🙂 …
