i was gassin up the cecmobile today when i noticed somethin’ … the parkin’ lot / pump area of a gas station (doesn’t matter which one!) is a LOT like the roads in Rome … it seems that the ONLY places cars aren’t really allowed to go is into the building or into the pumps … everywhere else is pretty much on an honor system … but, you know what … it WORKS … i didn’t get out and take a survey (it was cold, afterall!) but i’m sure that there was at least one member of each of the different major religions and at least one agnostic and one atheist out there this mornin at the crowded station i was at (not pictured, cause i didn’t want anyone freaking out for me taking a picture of them!) but, it seemed that no matter how frenzied everyone was they all, more or less, knew the basics of taking turns and playing nice and no one got run over or sprayed with gas during my pit stop regardless of the craziness of the situation … driving home i thinkin that drivin, like life, is full of choices … there’s a lot of signs that we can choose to follow that’ll help us stay on the right path and keep us from getting into trouble or get us where we need to go if we just take the time to pay attention and follow them, some of them are suggestions and some are downright strict in their need for adherence, but, for us to TRULY find our way there’s only one path more important that all of the rest … and laid out in our second verse today, it’s as simple and as asking and He will help us find the way 🙂 … just a thought from a guy that was at a gas and go this morning 🙂 ….
