A Beautiful Day … Trust HIM

i used to watch Mr Rogers on TV …. i always thought he looked and acted a LOT like my pappeye … now, what in tarnation does that have to do with this post you ask, well, you see, as i was walkin’ with lil’bit today and singin one of my favorite tunes (bet you can guess it after that opening seeing as we were in our neighborhood!) i noticed that the sky was a beautiful errrrmmm, overcast and the neighbor’s majestic sycamore at the edge of the lake was errrr, leafless, and the bountiful grass edging up to the lake was …. ummmm … dormant, but, nonetheless the neighborhood was no less beautiful because the falcon was able to find a solid branch, the overcast skies meant that it wasn’t nearly as cold as it COULD have been and the dormant grass meant that the soil was solidly in place so the grass would be back in the spring … lil’bit and i sang, laughed, ran and had just as much fun as we do in the spring and summer and the neighborhood was just as magical because, as we’ve learned, seeing isn’t believing, believing is seeing and once you have Christ in your heart, you see the world, well, differently … trees will still lose their leaves each year but now you’ve got your counselor to lean on to ask how that can be a good thing or how an overcast sky cannot spoil a walk … (spoiler alert, we call that praying 😊) … it works for small stuff and for big stuff … just a quick aside, i did the same thing when i was really sick, literally letting Christ know “well, you’ve got my attention, how can i serve you” and that’s how the Round Tuit ministry was formed so, whether you want to take Mr Rogers word for it, Joseph’s word for it, Paul’s word for it, my word for it, or, for those of you that were lucky enough to have known him, pappeye’s word for it, whatever THIS world has to throw at us ain’t NUTHIN’ as long as we’ve got God on our side 😊 … just a thought from a guy givin’ a speedy delivery (iykyk!) ….

Bible Verse

Isaiah 55:1-11 /  2 Corinthians 4
