A Bit of Better Butter

a bit of better butter makes a bitter batter better … don’t remember if it was my mom or my pappeye that originally told me that but both of them had that sense of humor so you can blame either one for the way i are 😊 …. you see they both taught me that the world is made up of lots of choices that get made every day and each one has consequences … some good … some bad .. but all consequences and how we choose comes down to what we know, what we’re made of, and what we’re lookin’ for … let’s take breakfast for example … and one of my favorite condiments … butter … to make some biscuits we need to grease up a cast iron skillet, no better way than with a stick but no need to waste money with expensive butter, so, let’s use the less expensive stick margarine … now those pipin’ hot biscuits come out and we want one … if we’re just butterin’ one up, nothin’ better than some sweet cream butter, but, if we want to have a bit o’ jelly, then, why waste the good stuff, let’s spread a thin layer of margarine on before the jelly, but, then there’s the apple butter to really make the biscuit sing …. mmm boy … now i gotta make more biscuits, but, you get my meaning … there may be, heck, there IS more than one “right” and more than one “wrong” answer for every situation, but, it’s how you approach it that makes all of the difference in the world … pappeye used to tell me that that trick was to pray hard and fast before making your decisions and then make them with the best of intentions and without trying to do harm … if hindsight then gives you different information, learn from it but, if it’s something that you didn’t know before, then, don’t beat yourself up over it … the big thing is to include God in your decisions and make sure that you’re doing things based on what’s right and true and not just in the heat of the moment .. just a bit of better butter to hopefully make your bitter batter better 😊 …

Bible Verse

Questions

How do you handle choices ??? Do you include God and Prayer before making them ??? Not just the big choices, but the small ones as well ???
