Where is Your Wallet and your Shield

i was chuckin’ my phone into my pocket this mornin’ when the Spirit hit me with this one … you see, we share a routine, you and i … and i’ll bet it’s about as similar as the one that my beloved and i share (and probably just as different, too !!!!) … ‘cause, each one of us has to get up at some point during the 24 hour cycle that we call a “day” here on this rock and then make our way to go and clean up then eventually have to prepare to leave our domicile and head out into the big-bad-world and do somethin’, at least a few times a week, some of us more times a week than others, but, would ya’ll agree that we’re similar and different at the same time ??? … so … there’s lot’s of ways we can get ready and i’m guessing you’re just about as interested in mine as you are about sharing yours with me, so, we won’t go there, but, one thing we have in common is where we’ll keep our “treasures” … think “wallet” (or phone for y’all that pay with that!) … is it in your pocket, backpack/purse/murse, or in the one that my daughter loves to see me with, my fanny pack 😛 … there’s LOTS of different places to carry it, but, is that truly our treasures or just our worldly treasures ??? now, on to the second Bible Verse here … it’s harsh, so, i’d like to chat about it and tell y’all what it means to me … ‘cause, for all of you that know me know that there’s ZERO chance of seeing me on a street corner yelling at folks or trying to convert folks that way but, when i read this verse what it means to me is that it prepares me for when i see hate, hurt, and anger in the world instead of letting it immediately cause me to be hateful, hurtful, and angry my first instinct is prayer to my Savior for guidance on what He wants me to do … wrapping myself in His armor is just that, insulating myself from the hate and hurt of the world, not removing myself from the world, but, making sure when i step into it i’m ready to face it not because of anything i can do but because He has made me ready for it … and, with that, i’m always good to go, ‘cause God is Good … All the Time, and All the Time, God is Good 😊 ….
