betcha didn’t see this comin’ …. a “mini Sunday School” lesson revolving around Halloween where it ain’t pictured badly 😛 … spooky, huh (ha, see what i did there!) … last night we took lil’bit out for his second official trick-or-treating extravaganza but it was honestly the first time he was really into it and wanted to run (and i DO MEAN RUN) door to door (man, whomever gets to nickname youngen’s should change it from “toddlers” to “scooters” ‘cause they can MOVE!) … anyhoo, i digress, but, then again, don’t i always 😛 … while seeing our wonderful neighbors and enjoying a night of fun and frivolity it hit me like a ton of bricks … for me, it was only a year ago … for lil’bit, it was 31,622,400 seconds ago !!! … stay with me here … now, in that same timeframe, yes, i’ve learned some new stuff (save a few of you that know MySQL or Ai, it’d bore the pants off of you) and have learned a lot about trying to be a better husband, dad, pappeye, and friend, but, in the same time, this little guy has LITERALLY learned EVERYTHING he knows today … 31,622,400 seconds ago he was still getting most of his nutrition from bottles of milk and only trying food that we’d introduce him to, now, he’s in the kitchen “helping” … he was still months away from taking his first tentative steps and now there’s not a cat or dog that’s safe from getting a loving pet when he sees them … i could go on for hours and hours about just how much he’s grown, but, in the process, i would miss out on so much more of just that, so, i won’t, but, it was a stark reminder that while we are all only here for a little while and, while i’m oh so thankful that forever means just that the 706,060,800 seconds (at the time of this writing) and still counting !!! since joining forces with my better half should all be marked with more treats and less tricks !!!!  shifting gears to wrap it up but this needs said … in the beginning, God created the Heavens and the earth … He was here then, He has been, is here, and will always be … for Him, a blink of an eye and a lifetime and a thousand years are the same yet He cares about every tear that falls from your eye … THAT’S the God that doesn’t demand but DESERVES as many of my seconds as He wants and i can give … just sayin’ …
