here’s another one of those where i’m gonna ask you to look at the pics and try to figure out just what in tarnation do they have in common and how in the world do they make an ssa ???!!! … welp, lemme tell ya a story … you see, i have a day off and was planning to do some catching up on things like finding my work bench and finally getting around to putting up our suitcases from our vacation we took a month ago (don’t judge, more to that in a bit!) when i was comin’ home from taking my lovely wife to work and passed by a squirrel runnin’ across the road … i saw him in his “new home” on the other side of the street and then a little later on, i was able to see some herons strolling (they don’t scurry or run!) across the busy road while cars stopped to let them pass … it reminded me of our bible verse and how they may not know or care where their home is tonight, but, they do know that God will provide … when i got home and started taking care of “normal” chores before getting into the ”day off” stuff i spotted the two “once feral” cats that now are the king and queen of our castle and thought of our second bible verse there, how God provided willing participants in His will to provide … you see, God’s miracles are awesome and He can do all things, and, what’s super awesome is He chooses to allow His servants (us!) to do His will … while none of us can solve world hunger, or world peace, or any of the “big problems”, instead of saying “world hunger” how about asking God what YOU can do … whether it’s a kitten, a kid, a friend, a …. well, how’s about YOU fill in the blank … and, as for the mess of the house, it’s the same deal there … there’s NO WAY i’m gonna fix this all in one day, but, if i look at it and say “no way” … guess what, it’ll never get done, but, i can look at the mess and think “wow, what a summer!” and start cleaning it up one piece at a time, and, by the end of this day off, some of it will be better … just a thought from a guy with a mess in his garage …. Have you had folks in your life that have been heaven sent ??? how’s about times where you feel that someone has shown up at the right time with the right widget ??? Better yet, have you ever just happened to show up at a friend, neighbor, or relative’s house out of the blue and then find out that they needed you there … hmmmmmmmmmmmm
