Sometimes Planning Vacations Can Be A Zoo!!!

gonna start off with sharing our plans for today … lil’bit had never been to the zoo and they had a deal where we could get in a bit cheaper because of the holiday … now, we hadn’t counted on being SO exhausted from our late night from the fireworks last night and the lack of a nap from the lil’guy (you can see where this may be headed) but, we hoped for the best and headed out … we got our tickets and headed into the zoo with a now very tired toddler that wanted very little to do with sitting in the stroller and, while some of the animals were out and about, most were already down for their nap (honestly where we should have been too!) and there wasn’t a bunch to see when … whammo … who would have thunk … afternoon thunderstoms in central florida !!!! (yeah, like every day, duh!) … well … we actually WERE unprepared, but, it turned into sharing some time in the “bear house,” sharing some stories, lil’bit playing in the water, and then a wrap up at the DQ, and, no offense to the zoo (which we will be going back to,) but, i personally think it turned out to be just as, if not, MORE meaningful and bonding than if our original plans had came into play … now, why am i going on about this ??? too many times we get hung up on trying to do things OUR way when HIS way is typically laid out before us IF we simply stop, look, PRAY, and listen for that still small voice … i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, seeing isn’t believing, believing is seeing and you can’t tell me that it was just a coincidence that everything that we needed to make our perfectly imperfect day come into place just happened to be there today … just sayin !!!!

Bible Verse

Psalm 65

Questions

How often do you find yourself in these “perfectly imperfect” situations ??? Do you find yourself trying to forge ahead with your plans or try and give in and go with the “new plans” as they present themselves ??? Do you feel that He plays a role in these new plans coming into play ????
