ok, now a recipe from chef boy r cecil … if you have someone that REALLY likes garlic butter and doesn’t like eggs but knows that they should get some protein in the mornings, put some butter in the cast iron and then some garlic BEFORE the egg … it makes for an EGGSELENT fried egg, i’m not YOLKING … now, in all seriousness (well, as much as i can give, anyways) have you ever noticed how much time most of us spend paying attention to recipes … just making sure that what goes into the dish we’re preparing is exactly correct so it comes out, well, the way it should ??? i wonder if we spend anywhere NEAR that much time and effort on what we’re putting into our spiritual “recipes” to make sure WE turn out that way (probably don’t want to think too much on that, boy, when i started to, OUCH) … anyhoo, Jesus had told us to be the salt of the earth and that can mean a heap of things to different people, but, to me, i believe he meant we should be ever present for our friends, family, loved ones, co-workers, and, yes, even those that may not like us so much, as a loving shoulder to lean on, someone that they know will “season” their day and make it better, someone that can be there to cry with them, laugh with them pray with them, and, when needed, just sit with them … now, as the day gets started, i’ve got to go and, as my “swifty” friends would say … “shake it up” 😊 …
Bible Verse (just 1, but, would love for you to read the entire chapter!)
Questions
When you think of “salt of the earth” what do you think of ??? Do you have certain “salt shakers” that you tend to gravitate towards when you need a little seasoning ?? How about certain bible verses ???
