ok …. if y’alls reading this the day it’s posted, that means it’s the Christmas Eve and, if folks are posting bible verses, i’ll bet a lot of them are centered around the city of David and a manger, but, you know me, i gots to be different, so, here goes … how about Matthew 6 … specifically 6:10 … that little baby grew up to give us a LOT of hints on just HOW to make earth a little more like His kingdom … for years I always read that to mean make it perfect (again, we’re not perfect, so, that’s a big ask!) but, how’s about this … let’s all TRY a little harder … STRIVE to do His will on earth, which, in turn, will make it just a little better, and, the more people that do just that, then, the more earth starts to behave a lot more like heaven …. only He can be perfect and only He can create the perfect place that we will be at the end, but, He has given us a wonderful gift of himself this (and every!) Christmas to remind us that we CAN make earth a little better if we only listen to and follow the words He spoke a couple of thousand years ago, so, let’s all go and celebrate this and every day by trying to do His will on earth as it is in Heaven
