My Shepherd’s a Great Teacher

the other day i was going to feed our parrot and saw our oldest cat eyeing a lucky lizard on the other side of the window … he was having a cat day dream about hunting down the little guy, i’m sure and thinking of all of the fun things that he could do with it, but, a little later on he sauntered over to the “dog unfriendly” place where we’d placed our cat friendly food bowl where he could much away safe and secure knowing that his “shepherd” had placed food there for him and he was taken care of … just like our lil’buddy might not know all of the “what’s and how’s” of the world, he knows that the big goofballs that are around him during the day are making sure he’s fed, cleaned, hugged when he cries, and loved all the time … and, well, as good of a shepherds as we can be … and, to paraphrase Rob Bell from his “Orange Ball” Nooma Video … if we, in our finite capacity of love and view for this world can love so deeply and care so much, just how much more can our Shepherd love US …. really, there’s no way to put our minds around just HOW MUCH our Lord can love us, but, we know that He does Love Us so much He sent His ONLY Son to make sure we could be saved …. i literally have chills just typing this …. anyway … just a thought from a guy that was feeding his bird and is so lucky to share the love his Shepherd gives him !!!

Bible Verse
