Toni and i were on a date day yesterday and it culminated in our old stomping grounds … we had an absolutely amazing time and ended up enjoying each other’s company and sharing memories and stories … you know even after decades together we found that there were times where we were probably in the same area, if not the same buildings at the same time, but, it just wasn’t the “right time” for us to have met up, which then led to the “what if” questions about the past, and, honestly, since pool was on the agenda yesterday, i’ll use that as the analogy today and say that i feel like out of the gate our lives our like the break of the balls, once put into motion, the game is afoot, but, you can’t go back … each move forward causes so many different other events to happen that have ripple effects that have some consequences (some intended and some, maybe not so!) but, we move forward … as we grow in maturity, our focus does get more clear towards the end … wow … pretty heavy 😊 … and, as for the wandering about the past, I like to look at Jesus’ philosophy about it … we learn from it, but, we dust our sandals and move forward, taking in the good and the bad … in short, i think Toni and i met at exactly the RIGHT time in our lives because it allowed us to come together and start our family at the perfect time to make the perfectly imperfect pool game that is the rice’s play out the way that it is 😊 …
