if you’re reading this on the day it’s posted, then, “Mother’s Day” is coming up (at least in the US) .. but, then again, with the exception of the ACTUAL day, wouldn’t “Mother’s Day” always be coming up, just maybe a little further down the road ??? (and now you know why my class used to keep track of the “dad jokes” and start to warn me when they got too many or too bad!) … anyhoo, today’s not talking about that, it’s talking about MOM’S day … you see, i think just about ½ of the population has the equipment to eventually become a mother, but, it takes REALLY SPECIAL people to become MOMS … mother’s give birth to babies, but, MOMS will kiss their boo-boo’s and make them better, will be there when the lights go out because there’s a scary storm outside and it’s flashing inside the house, and when, well, we just need a hug … so, the way i see it, Mother’s Day may come once a year, but, there’s not a day that goes by that i don’t think of my MOM and sometimes laugh, sometimes cry, and, sometimes both (since she’s now looking down on us) and appreciate her, and all of the other MOM’s that made me who i am .. you know, the aunt’s, uncles, teachers, faith leaders, and folks that helped your MOM along the way … so, while you’re thinking about something to do this Mother’s day (and, by the way, this is NOT a “get out of jail free card” for doin’ somethin’!) … why not take a quick walk down memory lane and think about all of the awesome MOM moments you can … just a thought from a guy that is lucky enough to have 3 of the best mom’s on the planet around him … my mom, my wife, and now my daughter in law 😊 … Happy MOMS DAY out there to all ya’ll !!!!
