ssaalert – ok … tonight i was gonna post the first of the pictures you’re gonna see not as an ssa, but, as a “food pic” and move on, but, during dinner, we were talking about different things and i got to thinking about how scary lasagna was the first time i made it … how i asked so many different folks about their recipes and tricks and, after getting thoroughly confused, i did my best, and, it turned out ok, but, over the next 3 or 4 or 10 times, it kept getting better as i kept tweaking it to “make it my own” until, well, it hasn’t changed in quite awhile and, if lil’bit has his say, i’m guessing it shouldn’t 😊 … why am i rambling about this ??? it reminds me a LOT about the first (second, and tenth!) time i shared my faith journey with someone … as an elder and Sunday school teacher, it’s something that has happened over and over through the years, but, just like that first lasagna, i’ll never forget the first time, how scary it was to  be that open and vulnerable to someone else about such a personal thing, but, (here’s a hint) …. THAT’S the way that we make personal connections with others … being willing to be vulnerable and opening up shows others that it’s ok to take that first scary step, because, remember, as scary as it may be for you if you’re sharing a faith journey, someone hearing it may be taking a much scarier journey of having to open their heart and let Him in …. wow … who’d have thunk a hunk of lasagna could have made a guy think of all of that !!! anyhoo … i hope your day is as AWESOME as YOU are !!!
